Pet-Friendly Travel
Gone are the days of missing your pet while on vacation.
Hotels are increasingly throwing a bone to traveling dog owners by providing first-class treatment for four-legged companions. From steak dinners to dog-walking concierge services, if you’re looking to take advantage of these perks, I can plan the perfect vacation for both you and your VIP (very important pup).

Hotels That’ll Spoil Your Dog
Designated Dog Beds
Hotel Indigo Boston Garden (Boston)
No need to fight your precious pooch for bed space when you’re at Hotel Indigo, located down the street from Boston’s TD Garden arena. The hotel will provide your furry plus-one with their own bed, bowl, chew toy, and treats.
They won’t be allowed to chase hockey pucks around TD Garden, but they’re sure to enjoy a walk down the Esplanade, a dog-friendly walking path along the Charles River that starts near the hotel.
Regent Santa Monica Beach (Southern California)
If you prefer to stay in the States, Regent Santa Monica Beach—located a short walk from the Santa Monica Pier—offers a dog bed, bowls, and a custom-embroidered bandana.
Although dogs aren’t allowed on the beach, they are allowed on the oceanfront pathways and parks that follow along the sandy coast.
For the Active Pup
Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa (St. Barks—I mean Barths)
If your pup has endless energy, Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa is a great option. In addition to the property’s dog bed and concierge service, the resort welcomes dogs on its beach, which is a rarity for the island. If they love to swim, you can even rent a paddle board or kayak for an afternoon in the Caribbean Sea.
Rosewood Miramar Beach (Southern California)
Rosewood Miramar Beach is located near Downtown Santa Barbara’s idyllic wineries and bucolic beaches. But the waterfront property itself has plenty to do, from a pet-friendly beach to a dog-walking service.
Run the pups out around the property’s oceanview Great Lawn. Then bring them to dinner on the terrace at Caruso's, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant.
Puppy Chow
The Mark Hotel (New York)
Even the pickiest pups are sure to love the room service salmon and chicken from The Mark’s “Spoiled Dog’s Menu” by renowned chef Jean-Georges. In addition, the hotel—located less than a block from dog-friendly Central Park—provides its four-legged guests with Molly Mutt-branded dog beds, water bowls, and custom placemats.
Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa (Pennsylvania)
The historic Omni Bedford Springs serves a pet menu with delicacies like frozen bananas with peanut butter and sirloin with peas and carrots. It’ll be great fuel for a day of exploring the nearby Shawnee State Park and Shuster Way Heritage Trail.
Multi-Part Packages
Waldorf Astoria New York (New York)
Park Avenue? More like “Bark Avenue.” In addition to providing a bed, bowl, and waste bags, Waldorf Astoria’s Manhattan location offers your pup a closet of branded accessories, including a bathrobe, a raincoat, and rain boots.
For dinner, your furry companion can pick from the dog-friendly menu, designed by the hotel’s executive chef and served with a side of “CharDOGnay” or “ZinfanTAIL.”
Kimpton Gray Hotel (Chicago)
At Kimpton Gray, expect to be greeted with a list of amenities, including a dog bed, food, bowls, mats, and waste bags. For noise-anxious pups, the hotel will provide a door hanger that will notify passersby that your pet is in the room.
And for humans, they’ll provide a catalog of nearby pet-friendly restaurants and parks. One of the best dog-friendly bars is just downstairs: the hotel’s nightly wine reception, pets welcome.
I’d love to help you and Fido plan a paws-itively incredible getaway. Let's plan a trip, book an exclusive offer, or map out anything else on your list!
